Alliance University invites applications for its School of Business from highly qualified professionals for the position of Assistant Professor in marketing.

Job title: Assistant Professor – Marketing

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Contribute to helping students gain career opportunities in marketing, digital marketing, marketing analytics, and brand management.
  • Supervise, advise and mentor teaching students in areas related to marketing
  • Help challenge the way students think, learn, and develop their understanding of academic disciplines.
  • To facilitate students’ understanding of customer perceptions, buyer personas, digital marketing, international marketing, sales and distribution, and strategic management.
  • Develop core curriculum and effectively deliver course materials.
  • Update your knowledge and keep an eye on the latest trends and events to share updated information with students.
  • Publish research, attend conferences and give presentations to build a strong research network.
  • Undertake research, either individually or with colleagues, of a standard and quality that will result in regular publication in top international journals.
  • Write proposals for research funding.
  • Organize seminars and events to interact with established industry professionals.
  • Review teaching methods and materials to make recommendations for improvement.

Profile

  • PhD in marketing or related fields.
  • Demonstrated interest and skill in course setting and teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
  • A strong desire to publish in prestigious journals with the possibility of obtaining external funding for research initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience and proven teaching experience to contribute to PG/UG courses in Marketing Management, Sales Force Management, Consumer and Brand Strategy and Forecasting, Marketing Modeling and Strategy, including supervision of theses from license and master’s degree.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an effective understanding of teaching tools and processes.
  • The ability to work in a team.
  • Expertise and experience in consumer behavior and neuromarketing, advertising and integrated brand promotion, marketing analytics and models, marketing research, digital marketing and the digital ecosystem.

Qualification: PhD in marketing or related fields of a high standard with a strong research and academic background.

Eligibility: A master’s degree with 55% mark (or equivalent mark on a point scale wherever the grading system is followed) in a relevant/relevant/related subject from an Indian university, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university .
