Carson City’s Bank Saloon to Host Weekly Live Music Broadcast with Brother Dan | News from Carson City, Nevada

Event date:

January 3, 2022 (All day)

The Brother Dan Show, a long-running local music livestream that airs Mondays at 5:00 p.m., announced a new sponsor and location, Bank Saloon in Carson City. The new venue will allow special guests and live audiences to be part of the show again, starting Monday, January 3.

Streaming weekly since early 2019, the show has not missed a week since. Along the way, the show gained a loyal and widespread following. The pandemic has forced changes, including the exclusion of special guests and a live audience, as well as a director / production assistant.

Technology has allowed the local artist to elevate the show from a simple cellphone experience to a multi-camera production that he is able to control even if he takes his place in front of the camera.

Promoting the hashtag musicheals, the show has been an island of continued normalcy even as the pandemic has caused so much uncertainty and is drawing fans from across the United States and around the world. A recent visit to the show revealed a wide range of viewers, who found a place of solace and companionship, as evidenced by their cozy conversations and cyber friendships. While the main audience consists of people who have attended Elder Dan’s live performances in the past, frequent visitors pass by and find a stress-free escape from the isolation of the pandemic.

The Bank Saloon, at 418 S. Carson St. in Carson City, has quickly become a gathering place for locals with a building of historic significance and its convenient location.
