They deepened their interest in life beyond Earth with their new four-part docuseries Unidentified With Demi Lovato.
And the 29-year-old pop star tries to connect with the aliens the best way they know about on the new show – through song.
A new clip from Unidentified features Demi rummaging through their catalog as they sing their 2011 hit Skyscraper on a walkie-talkie that can be connected to distant beings.

In the new clip, Demi is joined by their boyfriend and costar Mathew Scott Montgomery, as well as paranormal investigator Chris Smith from The Wraith Chasers.
The trio are filmed in black and white as they explore what appears to be an abandoned house in the middle of the night.
But even though the plan is set up as a series of frightening paranormal investigations, Demi is clearly thrilled with the possibility of contacting aliens.
The singer appears to be communicating with a being from beyond they call Carmen via a two-way radio placed on a sofa, which emits a strange metallic hum whenever he apparently communicates, while another cube-shaped device with an antenna is placed on a metal grid on the other side of the room.

“We have just arrived! Mathew said in shock as the sound enveloped the room just as the three of them entered.
“Did you see anything like aliens here, or UFOs?” Star people? Demi asks permission on the radio, which emits another buzz.
The singer also asks if Carmen is a “star person”, although the noise ceases.
“Didn’t you want to say anything else because the boys were here?” They ask after the men have entered a side room out of sight.
Suddenly the radio lets out another cry.
“I think – Oh, I understand a lot,” Demi said.
“She has trauma. That’s why she doesn’t like men, ”they determine from the monotonous sound.
“I have trauma too, so I feel you and I understand,” Demi says to Carmen, before launching into a song.

“Well, I always sing Skyscraper when I feel like singing something emotional,” they say, before launching into an a cappella version of the song.
“Do you have to / Make me feel like / There’s nothing left of me,” Lovato sings passionately. ‘You can take all that I have / You can break all that I am / Like I’m made of glass / Like I’m made of paper.’
After finishing the snippet, the radio plays another sound, which Demi takes as a signal to let the men back into the room.
‘It’s so cool!’ they spring up. “This is the coolest standing ovation I have ever had.”

Lovato previously shared in a trailer for Unidentified that was released this month that their interest in extraterrestrial phenomena was inspired by a possible UFO sighting they experienced while on a trip to National Park. Joshua Tree in Southern California.
“We were stargazing and we tried to do this protocol where you make contact, and all of a sudden something appeared directly above us in the sky,” the singer told Entertainment Weekly on Monday.
“It’s huge lights that have made a question mark, almost, in the sky – and then it’s like they’ve receded. I realized [then] that my life was probably going to change in a spiritual way, because I also have a spiritual connection to this trip. ‘
They added that they were “not afraid” when meeting possible.

“The feeling you get from these beings is so warm and loving and accepting that it is just overwhelming joy that occurs when you are able to make contact,” added Demi.
The hitmaker theorized that aliens were watching humans and our planet, and they suggested that a wave of potential sightings from the 1940s was motivated by the use of the atomic bomb.
In addition to teaming up with their friend Mathew, Lovato joins their older sister Dallas in trying to connect with aliens and explore the history of alien encounters.
