GRF adds to its portfolio of ultra-wideband gain blocks, extending reach from near DC to X-band


GREENSBORO, NC–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Guerrilla RF announces the production release of the GRF3012 and GRF3016, two new ultra-wideband gain blocks targeting wideband applications such as instrumentation, microwave backhaul, and general purpose microwave and RF amplification. Each device covers multiple octaves, with frequency ranges from near-DC all the way up to 12 GHz, and global coverage spanning the HF, VHF, UHF, L, S, C and X bands.

When operating at 5 GHz, the GRF3012 draws only 22 mA of current while offering 11 dB of gain, 18 dBm of OIP3 linearity, a compression level of 5 dBm and a noise figure of 5 dB. Its sister part, the GRF3016, offers improved linearity and compression performance in exchange for an increased bias level of 70 mA. At its 5 GHz midpoint, the GRF3016 provides 13.5 dB of gain, 30 dBm of OIP3 linearity, 16.5 dBm of OP1 dB compression, and a low noise figure of just 4.2 dB. Both components come in pin-compatible 1.5mm x 1.5mm 6-pin DFN packages.
