Ivanti announced that it has appointed Jeff Abbott as its new CEO, succeeding Jim Schaper in this role. Ivanti is backed by Clearlake Capital Group, LP, TA Associates and Charlesbank Capital Partners, LLC.
Mr. Abbott has served as president of the company since January 2020. Together with Mr. Schaper, he led Ivanti through tremendous progress over the past 18 months, including doubling the company’s revenue to more than ” a billion dollars, and invest and support customers and employees through a strategy of organic growth and acquisition.
“Jeff is a natural leader and has been instrumental in helping Ivanti achieve the success we have achieved over the past two years, and I am delighted to see Ivanti continue to grow at an accelerated pace under his leadership,” said Mr. Schaper.

Mr. Abbott has over 25 years of experience with leading software and service companies, including Accenture, Oracle and Infor. As President of Ivanti, he oversaw all aspects of product strategy and execution and go-to-market, including product development, product management, marketing, global sales , customer experience and operations.
Through recent acquisitions including Pulse Secure, MobileIron, Cherwell, and most recently RiskSense, Ivanti has strengthened the company’s solutions and created an overall Zero Trust IT security and services architecture to address the issues presented in this new working environment.
Ivanti also today announced three new appointments to the Board of Directors. Mr. Abbott will join the Board of Directors with new Co-Chairs Chris Heim and Dan Mayleben, industry leaders with experience in long-term growth and value creation in software companies.

Mr. Heim is the executive chairman of HelpSystems, a cybersecurity and automation company of which he was previously the CEO. Mr. Mayleben also sits on the Board of Directors of HelpSystems, where he was CFO and worked closely with Chris to more than triple the size of the company by executing a successful software consolidation strategy.
In addition, Mr. Heim and Mr. Mayleben created strategic value at HelpSystems by focusing and investing more in cybersecurity and creating a large-scale organization that today provides critical infrastructure software to more than 20,000 customers worldwide. The duo have also been instrumental in the growth and success of several other software companies and have been affiliated with TA and Charlesbank for several years.
