The 3 Acres Summer Gathering will be presented by successful singer-songwriters Finley Quaye, James Walsh of Starsailor and Mark Morriss of the Bluetones.
Organizers of the event, which takes place Saturday and Sunday at Ashley Cross Green, said they were greatly encouraged by the backlash from businesses and local residents.
Event Director Ben Dyas said: “Everyone was very supportive – we were delighted with the way the event was received.
“Ashley Cross is a vibrant and vibrant neighborhood and the Green is a wonderful space that serves it really well.
“We know how much local residents appreciate community events and are so happy that they recognized that 3 Acres is all about bringing quality live music to what is effectively the front garden that everyone shares.”
In addition to the headliners, 3 Acres has brought together the best local bands in the area to support and has a full children’s entertainment program featuring Britain’s Got Talent contestant Jay Rawlings, who performed magic from the comedy and juggling for Sir Cliff Richard and Dame Joan Collins among thousands of others and in 2019 set a new world record for balancing chairs on her chin.
Also appearing are the ever popular Mad4Animals shows with animal handling and plenty of photo opportunities, as well as the two Jamies – Jambo and Jigsaw – and a series of take-out circus workshops.
There’s plenty for the adult picker too, with local food producers, a gin tent, and a fully stocked bar with craft beer, ciders, and real ales.
Weekend tickets cost £ 17 with day tickets £ 10 (adults) and £ 5 (children) or £ 25 for a family of four, available at www.3acressummergathering.com.
