The Redmi Smart Band Pro has just been announced, around a year after the original Redmi Smart Band. As the name suggests, however, the new version is better equipped and offers more features.
For starters, we have a 1.47 inch AMOLED panel with 450 nits of peak brightness and 282 ppi. It is protected by 2.5D tempered glass while the body is made of polycaprolactam (nylon type, plastic), reinforced with fiberglass and it can pass under 50m under water. The bracelet, of course, is made of soft silicone.
The device adopts the usual accelerometer, gyroscope and PPG heart rate monitor. A light sensor for automatic adjustment of the screen brightness is also at hand. Using these sensors, the device can detect more than 110 types of workouts and 15 of them are professional modes, according to Redmi. Also on the list of features is SpO2 (blood oxygen) monitoring.
All this material is powered by a 200 mAh battery which charges via a small magnetic cable. The Redmi Smart Band Pro should last around 14 days in normal use or 20 days in power saving mode.
And as for the Redmi Watch 2 Lite, it is a toned down version of the original, so it adopts a more square design compared to the band. The screen is a 1.55 inch LCD screen with a resolution of 320 x 360 pixels. The same set of sensors are inside besides the GPS. 5 ATM too.
The device is also powered by a larger 262mAh battery which should last you 10 days under normal use or 5 days if you are a heavy user. In GPS mode, the watch can run for 14 hours straight, which is pretty impressive too.
Unfortunately, Redmi did not share pricing and availability details, so those will be revealed later.
