Labor Day weekend has certainly crept in on us (again) this year. Time flies whether you are having fun or not, so why not have some fun? If your main goal this weekend isn’t to make a big dent in your patio furniture, the Cincinnati area has plenty to do.

A tradition regains its rightful glory as the Riverfest party and fireworks show rise between the bridges of the Ohio River. The Reds and FC Cincy are in town. The Renaissance Festival is back. Brooks & Dunn make their return to Riverbend. Monster trucks will jump over things. It’s a busy weekend with something for everyone. Here are the big ones.

Riverfest returns to the Ohio River this year.

Riverfest / Western & Southern WEBN Fireworks, Sunday, Sawyer Point Park and Yeatman’s Cove, Mehring Way, Downtown and Festival Park, Newport. Fireworks launch at 9 p.m. from barges on the Ohio River.
